Oh, hi.
Here is an update.
1. I purchased a home. It has many lovely parts including a doggie door, front porch, wiffle-ball structured backyard, & a walk-in shower that I could comfortably sleep inside of. You know, should I ever need to.
2. Tulip has learned to play. She also now fusses at those who leave her alone for too long. I probably contributed to this behavior by poor-babying her to pieces when I arrived home from school each day, but I am fine with it because her crying now is downright precious. She lets me hold her like the 40 pound baby she is while making what I consider to be the cutest dog noises known to man. Then we go play tug-of-war, and all is forgiven. She has also abandoned all fear of the evil kitty, instead opting for sheer torture to the 19-pound feline. She licks her square in the face. Gretta does not like it, but boy, is it hilarious to watch.
3. Returning to WUSC to DJ again beginning Friday. Listen on-line at http://www.wusc.sc.edu. Name of the show is Laser Beams and Blazer Seams. Thank you, Patrick Funk.
4. Happy to have met & become involved with a fella who is army-based. Future orders unknown, there are clear hurdles ahead for us both. However, he makes me laugh & think of things different. He is patient, and kind. I enjoy him and feel fortunate to have him in my life.
5. We are a teency bit less than a month from the end of the year, here. Children are sweet but rowdy. The economy has made times ahead hard for all who do my job, but I am hopeful. Have a hard time when the cuts hurt the children. After all, they’ve done nothing to deserve such consequences.
So all is well in my world, though I don’t trust it to last one bit. Probably a result of the last year of happenings, and I understand that trust will take time to build itself back up. At the very least, I’ll never be naive again. That’s surely something to be thankful for.
